Jazz film: Pastor'n in memory
This year's opening at Jazzfilm 2019 is a tribute to Einar "Pastor'n" Iversen

"An evening with the Pastor"
Director: Knut André Danielsen, Norway 1991 (75 min)
In April this year, the piano legend Einar "Pastor´n" Iversen passed away, aged 88. Iversen left his mark on Norwegian jazz for generations - as a solo artist, arranger and as accompanist for a large number of international stars on visits to Norway.
Jazzfilm honors Pastor´n's memory with a mini-concert with Tine Asmundsen with Håkon Storm-Mathiesen and a memorial lecture by biographer Hilde Brunsvik.
In addition, there will be a screening of Knut André Danielsen's documentary "An evening with the Pastor'n" from 1991 and an exciting presentation of Maren Victoria Thingnæ's new documentary about Jan Erik Kongshaug and Rainbow Studios - the record studio where Iversen also recorded his latest releases.
Jazzfilm is supported by the Norwegian Film Institute and Buskerud County Municipality
