Avanthagen: Marlies Debacker + Inga Stenøien + Moberg/Lien
Avanthagen – the place where free music grows wild! This year we will get to experience Marlies Debacker, Inga Stenøien, Kalle Moberg and Kristian Enkerud Lien. Three concerts on one ticket!

Avanthagen was originally located in one of Kongsberg's finest and oldest courtyards, but since it was either sweltering hot there or splashing rain, the festival found it best and safest to move indoors. And it turns out that Smeltehytta is the perfect place for Avanthagen.
It is Saturday afternoon during the Kongsberg Jazz Festival and we will once again hear three concerts at Avanthagen in Smeltehytta.

Marlies Debacker – piano
From Belgium via Cologne comes Marlies Debacker. In recent years, she has impressed with her very own approach to the instrument in the space between free improvisation and contemporary music. She explores the sound possibilities of the grand piano and seeks a more colorful and orchestral sound in her solo concerts. This will be the first time we hear a solo concert with Marlies Debacker in Norway.

Inga Stenøien – guitar
Inga Stenøien is currently completing her studies in Hamburg and she is exploring the extremes of the guitar, where the energetic goes hand in hand with the brutal. The direction of the music is dictated by the tactile, and the result is often explosive.

Kalle Moberg – accordion
Kristian Enkerud Lien – guitar
In collaboration with nyMusikk, we have challenged accordionist Kalle Moberg and guitarist Kristian Enkerud Lien to explore the duo format. We expect new playing techniques, clean-tuned chords and tight sounds in this premiere!
