We are looking for a project manager for children and young people
For the first time since before the pandemic, we invite in 2022 to our children's festival Barnivalen, which is a festival within the festival, by, with and for children/young people. In 2022, for the first time, we will raise the Snøhetta-designed stage icon Tubaloon on the festival grounds, which is a symbol for the Kongsberg Jazz Festival, the Barnivalen and for the city of Kongsberg. Tubaloon will help put Barnivalen on the festival map. We also invite children and young people to a number of workshops associated with the festival. Kongsberg is known for cultivating many talented musicians, and we believe that the jazz festival and the workshop are an important reason for this.
We are now looking for a project manager in a 40% commitment until July 2022, with responsibility for coordinating and leading the work with Barnivalen and Kongsberg Jazzfestival's other programs for children and young people.
As project manager for the festival's children's and youth events, you are responsible for the following:
- Booking and programming of Barnivalen: concerts, performances, workshops
- Cooperation with local associations/clubs and sponsors/collaborators on activity stations and other content for the Children's Festival
- Follow-up and handover to volunteer group leader for Barnivalen
- Arena planning
- Designing content for websites, program leaflets etc.
- Coordination of band and parade workshops in collaboration with Kongsberg cultural school
- Coordination of the opening ceremony and festival parade
- Follow-up of events from A to Z, in collaboration with the festival's other staff and volunteers
- Initiation and follow-up of youth projects
Desired experience and education:
- Experience from festival and concert production
- Experience with volunteers
- Knowledge of the target group and experience with program work for children
- Higher education
- Relevant experience can replace the requirement for higher education

Duration of the position:
