With the help of good supporters such as Sparebankstiftelsen DNB and Toyota, We are now making Barnivalen free during this year's festival. Barnivalparken with activity stations will be moved to Magasinparken, while the concerts will be held in Festivalgata.
Barnivalen is our own festival within the festival for the younger ones. In line with the festival's focus on inclusion and accessibility, the new Barnivalen will be free for everyone! This gives us the opportunity to include even more people in this great program that mixes music, play and festival experiences for the little ones.
Barnivalen is Norway's longest-running children's festival, having existed since 1977, and always attracts a large audience of young and old. We always offer a musical, fun and diverse program. Every year we fill the children's program with concerts, theater, fun activities, workshops with music and singing, bouncy castles, face painting and a good atmosphere.
Activity area in Magasinparken
This year, Barnivalen will be held in Magasinparken, right in the heart of the city and the festival, towards Kongsberg High School, while the concerts will take place in Festivalgata, just a quick stroll away. All events are outdoor events, and are suitable for both grandparents and strollers. And this year it is free for everyone, regardless of age!
Family concerts in Festivalgata
The new Barnivalen concept means that the concert program itself will take place in Festivalgata. Festivalgata is in practice only a short walk from the Barnivalen area in Magasinparken. There will be concerts here on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Saturday event here is presented by Toyota Kongsberg. The family concerts are alcohol-free.

Toyota Kongsberg's family party: Free family concerts with both Swing'It and Turbotroll and surprises.
Swing it plays catchy and entertaining Dixieland, with humor, little jokes, three buckets of charm and an out-of-tune banjo - served with straw hats, bow ties and lots of fun playing!
When: Turbo troll invites you to a dance party, it's hard not to get carried away! Chocolate, toe-tapping, ghosts and glitter shoes are obvious ingredients when they invite you to dance.
Children's Day film: FLOW
On Saturday there will be a free family film at Kongsberg Cinema. This year's Oscar winner for best animated film will be shown, in which a cat embarks on a fantastic journey through a flooded world in search of dry land. A dazzlingly beautiful film about friendship, unity and courage!
