Særingfest 2025!

Særingfest at Smeltehytta is our own festival within the festival, where jazz enthusiasts discover and experience music and sound in all forms and variations. Særingfest is a place where people meet, mingle and enjoy the summer atmosphere by Lågen, while satisfying their curiosity for the more experimental jazz expressions.

Last year's prize winner, Henriette Eilertsen, is back with several exciting projects. At Smeltehytta we meet her in collaboration with two very prominent names on the European jazz scene: pianist Håvard Wiik and drummer Mark Sanders.

Mat Maneri & Hein Westgaard

There will be beautiful, unexpected moments for curious and listening ears when violist Mat Maneri and guitarist Hein Westgaard meet in concert this Thursday.

The Lost Tangos

In the collaborative project of Guoste Tamulynaite and Jan Martin Gismervik, material and concepts from across the artistry are freely drawn in and carefreely mixed together into a myriad of imaginative and genre-moving expression.

Decoy + Camila Nebbia

Decoy's music takes the form of intense and meditative journeys that often have a psychedelic twist. They have a long and rich tradition of inviting different guests to their concerts. At Smeltehytta they have brought with them the Argentine-born saxophonist Camila Nebbia, who in recent years has been found everywhere on the European jazz and improv scene.

This will be the big night of improv jazz!
