DO YOU WANT TO DEVELOP AN ART PROJECT FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE AT THE KONGSBERG JAZZ FESTIVAL?

Kongsberg Jazzfestival has been invited to participate in the Viken county council's hosting scheme for young cultural talents who are on their way out into professional life, and is now looking for relevant candidates.

The project we have been awarded is about inviting an artist/performer with a background in an art discipline other than music to work on an art project (installation, decoration, performance, workshops etc.) in connection with the festival's arenas with particular emphasis on our program for children and young people.

The project will help create an additional dimension to our program for children and young people, and help facilitate the dissemination of high-quality art and culture across art forms. It is desirable that the project has an interdisciplinary dimension, and that it should stimulate participation and creative expression for children and young people.

We would like to get in touch with relevant candidates who may be relevant for a host position at Kongsberg Jazzfestival for a limited period until the festival in July 2022. The design of the project and scheme must be done in collaboration between the festival and the candidate in question.

The candidate will be employed at the festival as an intern at a percentage of the position for a limited period by agreement.

Requirements for the candidate:

• at least a three-year higher education in arts and culture
• resident/registered in Viken county municipality and have a work and residence permit in Norway
