Kongsberg Jazz Festival's internship program 2025

Are you curious about how big concerts and festivals are made? Now you have the opportunity to apply for our internship program where you can learn more about this! The program is run by Kongsberg Jazzfestival, and consists of both training and practice. This can be a stepping stone into the cultural industry! 
 
You will learn about
– stage production
– artist booking
– marketing
– security
– content production (SoMe)
and all the other things that make a big event work! 
 
You can participate in a wide range of the festival's work areas, such as arena production, stage work, backstage, bar, catering, transportation, security and sales work. 
 
Most of the work will involve the practical part of the festival's production. That way, as an intern, you get a unique opportunity to work behind the scenes, and gain knowledge of what is required to organize a festival. 
 
You will work together with the festival staff, crew and volunteers, both before, during and after the festival. In addition to some meetings at Steinhuset (our office in Kongsberg), where work with the festival administration and planning of the festival is in focus. 

Age: 
16-25 years 
(From the first year of high school/the year you turn 1 to the year you turn 16) 
 
Expectations: 
– You can be trusted. 
– You like to contribute. 
– You are aware of what needs to be done, are willing to learn and have an above-average interest in working with festivals or large events.

After completing the internship, you will receive a course certificate and a fee of 5000 NOK.

Interviews will be held between March 10-13. 
You will be notified if you have been offered a place by the end of March.

The course/meetings will take place on the following days and times:

April 10th at 17.00:19 PM-00:XNUMX PM 
May 13th at 17.00:19 PM-00:XNUMX PM 
June 12th at 17.00:19 PM-00:XNUMX PM 
 
The course will take place in Steinhuset at the old Mint at Hyttegata 1. We will meet you outside. 
 
Practice part: 
June 29 – July 7 (before, during and after the festival production itself). 
You will participate in at least 3 days of practical collaboration during the period. We recommend that you participate in as many as possible, as there is a lot of fun to learn. 
The rest of the days you will have free access to the concerts at the festival (as an official). 
The practical part is mandatory, as you will receive a course certificate for participation in the entire program.
