Thursday 07.07.22

A boiling atmosphere is expected at Energimølla on Thursday night when a new Swedish-Norwegian jazz super team invites you to one of the few exclusive concerts in 2022!

Concert start: 23:59 Single ticket price: NOK 350

Unionen is a brand new band with four musicians who have made a name for themselves in the music world for a number of years with bands and constellations such as Supersilent, Koma Saxo, Acoustic Unity, Alla Mina Kompisar, Elephant9, Bushman's Revenge, Enemy, Django Bates Beloved, Terje Rypdal Skywards , Orakel, Skrim, Susanne Sundfør and Gard Nilssen's Supersonic Orchestra.

The band arose from a common desire to tie musical ties together in the borderland between an acoustic and electric expression, with songs and suggestive riffs as a starting point for long, open parts!

Here, Per Texas Johansson's unique tone and all the world's woodwind instruments meet, Ståle Storløkken's always exploring sound world, Petter Eldh's unwavering and organic beat, and finally Gard Nilssen's creative and dynamic drumming. Together, the Union ensures musical brotherhood across national borders. Here, all involved parties are given space for their personal voices and expressions to explore new musical territories, totally devoid of treaties, conventions and warfare.

In collaboration with Finsejazz, Nasjonal Jazzscene and Kongsbergjazz, the Union debuts with three exclusive concerts in 2022!

Per Texas Johansson – saxophones & woodwinds

Ståle Storløkken – piano, synth & keys

Petter Eldh – double bass, electric bass & MPC

Gard Nilssen – drums & percussion
