Trondheim Voices

Concert starts: 17:30 Single ticket price: NOK 300

Eight unique voices make up the vocal ensemble Trondheim Voices. Trondheim Voices are versatile. They often perform composed music, but much of what they do is also based on improvisation. They have collaborated with a number of talented musicians and composers, such as Jon Balkes Batagraf, Marilyn Mazur, Maja Ratkje and many more. Through the use of new technology and collaboration with other artistic expressions, the ensemble has pioneered the development of collective vocal improvisation. They have long had a very fruitful collaboration with sound designer Asle Karstad, and he is central to the project they are now coming to Kongsberg with. In Sølvsalen, the audience is placed so that they are surrounded by music. Together with Karstad, who has developed the effects controller Maccatrol especially for the ensemble, Trondheim Voices explores new compositions and vocal improvisation through live electronics and surround sound.

Voices and live electronics: Sissel Vera Pettersen, Tone Åse, Heidi Skjerve, Silje Ræstad Karlsen, Anita Kaasbøll, Torunn Sævik, Mia Marlen Berg, Live Maria Roggen + Asle Karstad (maccatrol and sound design), Pekka Stokke (visual design)
