Asmundsen & Co

After a grand tribute in 2017 when Asmundsen and Co paid tribute to the piano legend Einar Iversen as composer, the band is now promoting their new project

Door opens: 22:00 Single ticket price: NOK 300

Saxophonist Vidar Johansen stand for turn! A giant in Norwegian jazz history will now be brought to light and honored by and with Asmundsen and Co.

He is known as a soloist and over the past 50 years has created a multifaceted treasure of subtle and exciting compositions. The project represents both a summary of a long career in the service of jazz, as well as a revitalization of the compositions through new arrangements especially written with the members of Asmundsen & Co in mind.

Bassist Tine Asmundsen fortunately brings the same musicians with her as last time they played at Kongsberg, and it should make for a brilliant concert where we get to hear music with great audience appeal.

Tine Asmundsen – bass
Vidar Johansen – saxophone
Magnus Aannestad Oseth – trumpet
Rune Klakegg – piano
Terje Engen – drums

The doors open at approx. 21.00.
Concert start at 22.00.
