The Real Thing

Since its inception in 1992 (30th anniversary 2022!), The Real Thing has played more than 1 concerts and sold over 600 records of hard-swinging, organ-based soul jazz, inspired by greats such as Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, George Benson and Wes Montgomery. The band that "never leaves the stage in a dry tuxedo" has built up a solid fan base outside the jazz community as well. Organist Palle Wagnberg, guitarist Staffan William-Olsson, saxophonist Dave Edge and drummer Hermund Nygård are looking forward to firing up the hammond organ, checking that the loop is straight and letting loose on old and new repertoire.
