Sting & Shaggy + Adam Douglas

World star Sting is making his way to Kongsberg on 5 July 2018! As a guest on the tour, he has the Jamaican artist Shaggy with him. Star Game winner Adam Douglas warms up.

Concert start: 18:00 Single ticket price: NOK 895

As a solo artist and member of the mega hit The Police, Sting has collectively sold close to 100 million records and received 16 Grammy awards. Sting's song catalog is enormous, and the number of hits is nothing short of impressive.

This is an artist who has been high on the wish list for the festival for years and it finally went through!

Sting is a true multi-artist. He has had roles in more than 15 films, written books, ran humanitarian activities through his self-founded Rainforest Fund and written music for both film and theatre. Many of Sting's songs are heavily influenced by jazz and he often has jazz musicians in his band.

Bringing Shaggy as a guest

Shaggy and Sting have already released the single "Don't Make Me Wait", which is a preview of the album the two artists will release together in April. The album is referred to as a tribute to the Caribbean music, which has inspired them both. The two artists will perform both separately and together at the concert in Kongsberg. In addition to performing the songs the two make together, the two artists will also explore each other's biggest hits. Shaggy really became famous in the 1990s with the monster hit "Boombastic". Beyond the 2000s, he has had great success with songs such as "It Wasn't Me", "Angel" and "I Need Your Love".

Adam Douglas is warming up

Adam Douglas really became a household name when he won the NRK success Stjernekamp this autumn. With his singer/songwriter background from the USA, Adam Douglas has played and collaborated with many international greats such as Jon Bon Jovi, Larry Carlton and Robben Ford. With a popular appearance, strong presence on stage and a unique soulful voice, Adam Douglas won the NRK venture Stjernekamp this autumn, and became seriously known to a wide audience.
