Steinar Raknes and Unni Wilhelmsen stand at the front when The Stillhouse Band invites you to an all-nighter of Americana!
Many people know Steinar Raknes as an active bass player on the Norwegian jazz scene, known from collaborations with Ola Kvernberg, Urban Connection, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra and Chick Corea. In recent years, however, Steinar Raknes has moved more and more towards the singer-songwriter tradition, in a genre landscape where both blues, country and Americana are central. The double bass and Steinar's voice are supporting elements in the music, and give the whole thing a personal and unique expression.
Stillhouse started as a duo project with Unni Wilhelmsen, but was later expanded into a full band. In the repertoire this evening, the audience can look forward to both their own songs from the Stillhouse album from 2018, as well as unique cover versions by, among others, Prince, Depeche Mode and Bob Dylan.
