Sivert Høyem, the artist with one of the country's most distinctive voices, comes to the Kongsberg Jazz Festival with a rich song catalog and a solid band behind him.
This year, Sivert Høyem is current with her fifth solo album, "Lioness", a fabulous piece of music that hits well with the public as well as critics. This winter he sold out Oslo Spektrum, Grieghallen in Bergen and a whole host of other large concert venues - a feat only a handful of Norwegian artists can boast of!
Aftenposten writes about the record: "As one of Norwegian rock's greatest, Høyem has of course been compared to many foreign gentlemen before, but he has never operated closer to Nick Cave and his The Bad Seeds than here. And it's a compliment, when "Lioness" can be placed on the digital streaming shelf close to Cave's latest opus "Push the sky away".
