Særingfest: Hans Kjorstad / Ernst Reijseger
1 ticket – 4 concerts!

When Hans Kjorstad and Ernst Reijseger meet, a musical language emerges that feels both ancient and completely new. With roots in improvisation, folk music and free contemporary jazz, the duo creates open and intense soundscapes, where cello and fiddle intertwine in an expression that is both raw, beautiful and deeply listening.
In 2024, the duo released the album GAP OF GINN (2024), which was celebrated with concerts at the All Ears festival in Oslo and the Molde Jazz Festival. Michael Mikesell in We Jazz Magazine called the album "magical", and the release concert at MUNCH in Oslo was met with a standing ovation from the audience.
Ernst Reijseger is one of the most prominent voices in European improvisational music, with over 200 album releases and collaborations with Mola Sylla, Steve Lacy, Yo-Yo Ma and Trilok Gurtu, among others. He has also written film music for several of Werner Herzog's documentaries.
Hans Kjorstad has in recent years made a strong mark at the intersection of improvisation, folk music and experimental jazz, including through collaborations with Frode Haltli, Marthe Lea and Andreas Røysum.
