SEA: Skjelbred/Engen/ Asmundsen Trio

A musical journey through innovative compositions and improvisations. Let yourself be fascinated by their unique blend of jazz, pop and classical music!

Concert starts: 22:00 Single ticket price: NOK 300

Kongsberg musician Tine Asmundsen is a guest at the festival with the innovative and creative piano trio SEA. The trio consists of Bjørn Skjelbred (piano/composition), Rødbergman Terje Engen (drums) and Tine Asmundsen (double bass). In February of this year, they released their first album PLACES AND OTHER STORIES.

SEA mainly plays Skjelbred's original compositions, which move in a changing and varied musical landscape, where the compositional and the improvisational play together. Skjelbred's songs often have a lyrical feel, but also take the path of original rhythms, and have great variation in genre.

SEA carries the legacy of Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock and EST, where all instruments have equal roles in the compositions. The music draws on everything from traditional jazz, pop and classical music, with a strong melodic vein.
