Red Hot delivers a terrific concert set, with a waterproof comp at the bottom, a dynamic and extroverted line of brass on the edge of the stage and the "power plug" Knut Marius Djupvik at the head of it all. Over the course of ten years, they have built up great popularity, a loyal following and a solid live reputation. In 2016, they are in question with a smoking hot album "Social Medicine", recorded at Ocean Sound Recordings in Giske.
They have Øyvind Elgnes as their guest. The voice and front figure behind Dance With a Stranger, is considered to be one of Norway's best male vocalists and communicators. Elg is a veteran in the music industry with over 40 years of experience.
With eleven men in the crew and ten years' experience as professional musicians, Red Hot is something unique in Norwegian music life. The band, which has its origins in Romsdal, has built up a solid live reputation and great popularity in domestic circles through prolonged and focused practice. In 2015, Red Hot were finally ready with their first pure long-player, Social Medicine. The album was recorded at Ocean Sound Recordings in Giske, and has become a representative document for what the band stands for both musically and aesthetically.
