The oasis of poetry: Live & Lien

Concert start: 15:00 Price single ticket: NOK 300

It will be Jazz & Poetry of the finest carat when vocalist Live Maria Roggen and pianist Helge Lien guest the festival's Poesioase with their project Live & Lien.

Both Live Roggen and Helge Lien were well-established musicians in the elite class when they played together for the first time at Lien's prize-winning concert at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival in 2009. The collaboration worked so well that they continued to work together - now as a duo. In 2011, the album came out Barn sale. Here texts by renowned poets such as Hans Børli and André Bjerke appeared, but they probably surprised many that they also took texts from popular music, such as Dum Dum Boys' 'Splitter Pain'. In autumn 2016, the record came out You, and here they continue to present texts we know from completely different contexts, texts by Morten Abel, Bendik Hofseth, Pussycats and many more. But no matter what lyrics the duo embarks on, they are presented in a musical package that gives both Lien and Roggen opportunities to really shine, while the listeners experience the lyrics as new, fresh and surprising.
