Peter Brötzmann solo
This year Kongsberg Jazz Festival returns to Låven as a venue. And here it really will be 'Barn dance' - but perhaps of a slightly different kind than what we usually imagine.
Thursday 7 July Peter Brötzmann will play a solo concert!
To call Peter Brötzmann a legend is no exaggeration. He really is! He has played an absolutely central role ever since the sensational record "Machine Gun" came out in the year of rebellion in 1968. But Brötzmann can do more than be wild and rebellious, he can also play lyrically and 'down to earth'. Sometimes what we hear are echoes of Ben Webster's and Coleman Hawkins' balladry, especially when he plays solo. But he probably doesn't completely put away the aggressive legacy from "Machine Gun". Anyone who comes to the concert gets the facts.
Concert start 13:00
