Kongsberg is known for cultivating many talented musicians, and we believe that the jazz festival and the workshop are an important reason for this. The parade workshop is organized in collaboration with Kongsberg Cultural School.
At the Parade workshop, emphasis is placed on working by ear - i.e. without notes. The instructors will also teach improvisation. The workshop ends with the jazz festival's opening parade, and a concert on Barnivalen's outdoor stage, where the parade ends.
Time for the workshop is 10am to 16pm from Monday 1 July to Wednesday 3 July. Participants will receive lunch each day, as well as a t-shirt.
All the instructors are experienced musicians who participate in a number of renowned bands and musical projects. All of them also have extensive experience as instructors on various courses and in cultural contexts.
Lower age limit 10 years and you must have played for at least 2-3 years.
