With Paul and Carla Bley as role models and unpredictability as a guideline, the band has the same references and attitudes that Svein Finnerud Trio and Close Erase brought to the Norwegian jazz scene in their time. With four record releases and three fiddler nominations, Moskus has also seriously left its mark on the same arena.

 

With the fourth record "Mirakler" (2018) its completely original and genre-pulverizing expression, you hear the sound of a purposeful group with both fresh, fun and serious music that knows where it's going. Moskus takes you through a range of moods through brilliant improvisation in a genre-free universe, where the trio operates with a synth- and percussion-saturated sound palette where the playfulness unfolds with professional authority.

 

Musk shows great dynamism in effortless alternations between expressive play and introspective seriousness, between free improvisation and composed material, and combines a personal and mature expression with youthful energy and unlimited openness.
