Morten Qvenild's "HyPer(sonal) Piano"
One of the most innovative musicians on the Norwegian music scene is coming to the Kongsberg Jazz Festival with a release concert for a brand new solo project.
Morten Qvenild, one of many prominent musicians from Kongsberg, performs his solo project "HyPer(sonal) Piano" for the first time in full format at the festival on Saturday 4 July.
Morten is known to many after, over the past 15 years, he has put his clear signature on well over 50 releases with artists and projects such as In The Country, The National Bank, Solveig Slettahjell, Thomas Dybdahl, Susanna and the Magical Orchestra with several.
In this solo project, Morten has developed what he calls himself "the HyPer(sonal) Piano". The project is carried out as scholarship work at the Norwegian Academy of Music and is part of the Norwegian program for artistic development work. In technical terms, the work is progressing "the HyPer(sonal) Piano" out to develop the sonic palette of the grand piano by integrating electronics in different forms and in different ways into the grand piano.
Put simply: Morten Qvenild has once again researched his way to an innovative soundscape. His inventive compositions and personal expressions will lay the foundation for a strong and heartfelt concert experience at Energimølla.
Welcome to the concert!
