Morten Abel
Morten Abel has been an artist to be reckoned with on the Norwegian music scene for over 30 years. His career started with Mods in the 80s, continued with The September When in the 90s, and reached new heights as a popular solo artist in the 2000s. Morten Abel has sold hundreds of thousands of records, played thousands of concerts and has a list of hits that few can match.
In 2015, Morten Abel took the spotlight again, this time with an excellent Norwegian-language album. He took first place on the VG list, received the Spellemannsprisen's honorary prize and had heavy rotation on the radio with the song Frk. Villikke. Once again, Morten Abel toured to sold-out halls all over the country. On Wednesday 1 July, it's the festival audience at Kongsberg's turn to enjoy an evening packed with popperler from one of the country's best hitmakers!
