Mezzoforte // 40th anniversary

The Icelandic fusion band Mezzoforte has been going strong for an impressive 40 years! It will be marked with a large-scale anniversary tour in 2017 - and Kongsberg Jazz Festival is of course on the tour list!

The band's big breakthrough was in 1983 with the song "Garden Party", and has since been considered one of Europe's most important fusion bands. Four of the original band members still form the core of the band, while Swedish saxophonist Jonas Wall joined the band in 2013 and added fresh blood and new energy!

Mezzoforte is known for his impressive interplay and sparkling individual performances!
