Mari Boine + Åge & Sambandet (Support: Per Mathisen Trio)

Concert start: 19:00 Price single ticket: 490 + bill tax, -

Mari Boine is a prominent Norwegian-Sámi world music singer and musician, who is particularly known for having renewed joik, as well as modernized Sámi music by incorporating elements from, among other things, jazz, rock and folk musical traditions. She has won several Spellemann prizes and the Nordic Council's music prize, and in 2009 she was appointed a knight of the 1st Class of the Order of St. Olav for "her versatile artistic work".

In recent years, she has traveled around with different constellations; acoustic concerts and dance performances, but in conjunction
with the release of a compilation album, it's time again for a proper Norwegian tour with full production. On the opening night of the jazz festival's 50th anniversary, we will hear her on our main stage, and we are sure that this will be a magical and atmospheric concert that you will not want to miss!

Trønderrocken's father plays at Kirketorget! Åge Aleksandersen & Sambandet celebrates the 30th anniversary of the classic Levva lifet with a new record and subsequent summer tour. On Wednesday evening they are at Kongsberg, ready to play material from both new and old albums. This will undoubtedly be a great start to the festival week!

With Levva life from 1984, Åge Aleksandersen broke all Norwegian sales records. 30 years later, the record is still described as one of the most important in Norwegian rock, and Åge Aleksandersen is still one of Norway's most popular rock artists who plays to sold-out houses time and time again...

In the repertoire this evening are the vast majority of Åge's classics, as well as hits from the brand new record release Sukker Og Salt. Come to Kirketorget and enjoy songs such as Dains Me Die, Rio de Janeiro, Live the life, Light and warmth, Four lagers and a pizza, Rosalita, and many more!

Support: Per Mathisen Trio

Norway's funk master and bassist-king, Per Mathisen, brings his Spelemann prize-winning brother, Hans Mathisen, on guitar and the most recorded Norwegian drummer ever, Rune Arnesen. Together they fire up a jazz rock/funk concert that will set the Lysthuscenen on fire.

The trio promises a fantastic punch, a joy to play and breakneck virtuosity.

Per Mathisen (bass), Hans Mathisen (guitar), Rune Arnesen (drums)
