LOTTE ANKER / PAT THOMAS / INGEBRIGT HÅKER FLATEN / STÅLE LIAVIK SOLBERG
The concerts at Odd Fellow this year are dominated by Scandinavian musicians, but for Friday's concert a powerful storm comes storming in from the British Isles in the form of the English pianist Pat Thomas. He has his own ability to set fire to the musical contexts he participates in with his powerful, dynamic and temperamental playing.
The Danish saxophonist Lotte Anker has for a number of years impressed with his sensitive and expressive playing. She is undoubtedly one of the most interesting musicians in today's freely improvised (jazz) music.
The bassist Ingebrigt Haker Flaten has, with his personal and energetic playing, set his stamp of quality on elite bands such as Atomic and The Thing for a number of years.
By the drums sits Ståle Liavik Solberg. He is a versatile musician, but increasingly distinguishes himself as a nuanced, inventive and responsive drummer in the freer landscapes.
This exclusive quartet is sure to send trembling waves of joy through an expectant audience!
