Liv Hauge Ensemble
A new work from one of Norway’s strongest new voices!
Hva nå, Ekko? (“What now, Echo?”) is a new commission from Liv Hauge. The work explores how we humans cope with, interpret and distance ourselves from the unknown and the unpredictable. Meetings between the familiar and the unfamiliar are explored through music that is composed for improvisation.
Liv Hauge, with her background from the Norwegian Academy of Music, is a young jazz musician who has really caught people’s attention in the last few years. Her trio, Kongle Trio, were named Young Jazz Musicians of the Year in 2021.
For this afternoon’s performance of Hva nå, Ekko? she has put together an ensemble of some of the Norwegian jazz scene’s best young talent.
