When Kurt Rosenwinkel enters the stage at Energimølla with The Remedy, it's not just a concert – it's a reunion with a band that has left its mark on modern jazz history.
For over three decades, Rosenwinkel has been one of the most influential guitarists in international jazz. The New York Times has written that he “can say more in a few lines than most guitarists do in an entire career.” With his distinctive tone, bold harmonic language and melodic clarity, he has redefined what jazz guitar can be. Through albums such as THE NEXT STEP (2001), DEEP SONG (2005) and STAR OF JUPITER (2012), he has inspired generations of musicians around the world.
With The Remedy returns to one of the most significant projects of his career. The album THE REMEDY – LIVE AT THE VILLAGE VANGUARD (2008) captured a band in intense, telepathic interaction – where lyrical sensibility met uncompromising exploration. Now the original line-up reunites for the first time in nearly two decades.
