Culture Industry Day
In 2015, we set co-locations and cooperation within the cultural field as the theme for the Culture Industry Day. Since the last time, our region has lost many jobs and is facing challenges related to employment, industry composition and population. Internationally, cultural industries are an area of growth, but how do we translate this into Norwegian? We have gathered a bunch of people who each have experience and opinions on the topic.
Kongsberg Jazzfestival is a gathering place for not only music lovers, but also an arena where new ventures are created. We take the opportunity to invite you to an open seminar where good people share their experiences and inspire. We will hear about the path from good ideas to concrete action, ...reap from other people's experiences and learn from good people who have created magical moments.
We end with a good conversation about the value of cooperation and maybe we get new inspiration to look at the world and the region with new eyes. Everyone with an interest in the development of Kongsberg, the region and the cultural industries is of course welcome, and we believe that this is interesting for organizers, cultural founders, musicians, bureaucrats, decision makers, guests, sponsors, curious and engaged people in Buskerud, Telemark and the surrounding area. You are welcome anyway.

Lars Kobro has for many years researched the attractiveness of places. He is used internationally as a consultant in the field. With us, he will tell us what the researchers have found out - and what they haven't found out.

Head of the restructuring project in Rollag, Espen Berg, takes us through the plans for the development of Rollag as an attractive knowledge and cultural industry municipality.

Union scene is well known to those interested in culture. Behind the Union stage and the entire Union Brygge lies a conscious plan to use culture as a draw and content in the area. CEO Trond Åsheim takes us through history.
