THE GREAT SEXUAL CHANGE
– when the age of change takes over cultural life
The public develops new habits and patterns of action, new technology is adopted at record speed, genre boundaries are crossed and abolished - and not only that, even the large heavy county municipalities are to be made more efficient, merged and given new tasks. From 2020, Buskerud, Akershus and Østfold will merge to form the new Viken county municipality. What consequences do these changes have for cultural life?
Håkon Kornstad is the tenor saxophonist who put free jazz on the shelf and replaced it with an opera career that has made jazz Norway open its eyes. Stavernfestivalen and Øyafestivalen take different steps to reach new audience groups - is there a risk of losing others along the way? But what does the festival's future audience actually want from cultural life? We hear from some of the young people who have worked on launching Bizzy
- the culture app for young people in Buskerud. After lunch, a panel consisting of, among others, Tone Østerdal and Jon Mihle will discuss input for Buskerud County Council's future cultural strategy. And we get to hear Drammen's Herman Ekle Lund talk about why he wants Drammen's heyday as host of big stadium concerts back under the headline: Bring Bruce Back!
