Johan Hauknes will present a number of important NRK recordings from the history of the Kongsberg jazz festival from NRK's first time there in 1966. See Jan Garbarek, Sonny Rollins, Dollar Brand, Dizzy Gillespie and many more, and hear stories from the history of Kongsberg jazz.
Johan Hauknes is a self-proclaimed weirdo in the Kongsberg jazz sense. He is also a well-known jazz writer from i.a. Jazznytt and Moldejazz's festival newspaper four pages. Today he is the general manager of the company salty peanuts music, which is behind the Nordic web journal salty peanuts* for improvised music.
