In the autumn of 2016 Knut Anders Sørum won NRK’s music TV show “Stjernekamp”, as the first male contestant ever. His big voice, communication ability and pleasant nature has charmed all of Norway.
Sørum has, for the past 20 years, worked as an artist, songwriter and musician. A critically acclaimed Prøysen album in 2010 was followed by a soul album sung in his own dialect in 2013, with all songs written by Sørum himself. This led to the honor of support artist for Stevie Wonder at Kongsberg Jazzfestival in 2014.
The 21t of October 2016 Sørum launched his next album, also sung in his local dialect, and with songs written by Sørum himself. This time the album was produced by legendary Kjetil Bjerk Beach and Erik Hillestad. The album is described as innovative groovy pop with soul vocals. It was given many good reviews.
With songs from throughout his career and a stellar band with a very good mood, Sørum is now out to entertain his crowds.
