This year again there will be a series of Jazz talks at the Jazzbox. These go off at 12-13 throughout the festival and is free for everyone.
Stian Carstensen - the multi-instrumentalist is back in earnest in the Norwegian music scene with a slew of projects, and a recent nomination for the Nordic Council's music prize in the bag. We will try to talk to Stian Carstensen about absolutely everything.
Siril Malmedal Hauge - the singer from Ålesund has a nice new album out and is up for several festival gigs in the future - including at Energimølla. She is on her way to becoming one of the most distinct voices in Norwegian jazz, and writes songs with a distinctive pen, performed by a very strong band.
