The Jazz Parade marks the start of the Kongsberg Jazz Festival. We hope to get as many of the city's residents as possible to take part in this year's anniversary parade!
The jazz parade starts in Tinius Olsens gate by the old Kongsberg cinema, and goes through the city to Barnivalparken on Kvarten. Here, there will be an official opening by Culture Minister Lubna Jaffery, musical performances by the parade band and the Buskerud Youth Jazz Orchestra (BUJO), award presentations and finally an open concert for the whole family with the popular artist and TV personality SILYA.
Our officials provide fun face painting for the children at the meeting place for the parade. In Barnivalparken there will be activities for the children. Join us and celebrate the opening of this year's anniversary festival!
The park closes at 17:30.
