Over the centuries, the oral song tradition, or kvedinga, has had an important place in Norwegian culture. KVAR SONG EI SOGE portrays the people at Møsvatn under Hardangervidda, it is a film about those who sing, who appreciate and pass on these songs to this day - about taking care of an ancient tradition and developing it further. Warm and close, cheerful and sad, in Kvar song a soge is told about belonging, traveling away and longing for home.
