Critically acclaimed biographical feature film based on real events in a limited and conflict-filled period of Miles Davis' life. Miles Ahead is actor Don Cheadle's directorial debut, and he also stars.
In the film's frame narrative, we see Miles in Manhattan just before his comeback in 1980. He is tormented and hunted, and has not released music for many years. Through numerous flashbacks, we are taken on a journey through the master trumpeter's life from 1956 onwards. We witness ups and downs, both musically and in his relationship with his first wife Frances Taylor Davis. Both Cheadle and partner Ewan McGregor give solid performances, and this is a film that all Miles fans must catch!
