Jazz film: A HEART IS ALWAYS RED
The empire was born out of the iconic punk band Ebba Grön. They became the fixed stars of the post-punk generation and one of the biggest Swedish rock bands of the 1980s.

The film follows Imperiet on tour to Cuba, Mexico and Nicaragua (together with Mikael Wiehe, among others). In the film, we meet all the members of Imperiet - Joakim Thåström, Christian Falk, Per Hägglund, Stry Terrarie, Gurra Ljungstedt and Fred Asp - who, through old archive clips and recent interviews, reflect on their years in Imperiet.
Joakim Thåström usually shuns the press, but here he heartily shares his memories. Most associated with great joy, but some also with a regret that has plagued him ever since. Not least in connection with the fact that Per Hägglund was forced out of the band in 1987.
