Outside of our regular festival programme, we also have concerts Jazzboksen. Here we organize free concerts every day, all day - and give students, semi-professionals and amateurs the opportunity to play concerts for a wide audience.
Watch out, tomorrow's jazz stars can be found among this program. In the past, artists such as Fieh, Frøy, Bendik Baksaas and Hilde Marie Holsen have played on this stage.
Reidun Ottersen Quartet // 13.30 p.m
With their feet firmly planted in a multitude of styles, these four musicians weave their way through blues and jazz pop, funk and traditional jazz. Seasoned with small hints of free improvisation and rearranged pop songs, they form a playful and varied soundscape. After a completed year at Toneheim folkehøgskole, they are now ready to occupy the Jazzbox with a firm groove and catchy interplay. Here, there is simply something for every taste!

With clear vocals and powerful melodies, singer and songwriter Synne Hoff tells recognizable stories through catchy pop songs. Behind the piano, often combined with electronics, drums and tons of backing vocals, she takes the listener on a journey through her direct and emotional lyrics.
Cort Piil // 21:00
The music combines modern jazz folk with free improvisation and strong melodies that create beautiful musical stories with strong drive and spontaneity. The original compositions promise a varied and engaging musical experience!
Note that there is a free age limit in Festivalgata until 20:00 p.m.!
