Pictures and reviews:

Low-Fly Quintet plays original songs inspired by vocal jazz from the first half of the 1900th century. In addition to the fact that the vocals bear the stamp of influence from both blues and gospel, the instrumentation with cello helps create an original expression in the Norwegian vocal jazz landscape. The quintet delivers a listening concert that loosens tensions and sets the mind in motion. The cast is both traditional and non-traditional; drums, double bass and piano create a secure base, while the cello provides an opportunity to explore soundscapes that are not so common in the genre. The debut record "Stop For A While" was released on Losen Records in October 2017 and has rolled the dice 6 with several reviewers and garnered good words from jazz reviewers at home and abroad.

the ice is a young band that finds itself somewhere in the middle of the intersection between post-rock, jazz-rock, ambient and indie music. The lyrics revolve around existential experiences in growing up, and complicated lines of thought that you never get to the bottom of, and the group works collectively and with great presence to create something beautiful and unique, and to release something very special to the public; with great freedom for each performer in addition to large arrangements and distinctive songs. The band are former students of the jazz line at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, have already been on three Norwegian tours, and in April 2017 released their debut album, "Våren, om lenge".

SHUT UP is a Norwegian-language alternative pop-rock band inspired by Norwegian vise music. Frontwoman Anne Ingrid Tangen Kiær writes subtle lyrics and leads the band in a direction towards the colorful and thoughtful. They have been active since 2015 and are now relevant with their first EP release "We will continue to wander" which received 8/10 from NRK Sørlandet. "I listen to the text a bit like I listen to poetry and poems, that there are many structures and many levels on which it works”. – NRK Sørlandet.

Smog hood is an exciting quartet consisting of students at Kongsberg Cultural School. They have played together for many years in different constellations. In Smoglokk, they gather around an expression that is both quiet and loud, experimental and improvised, and where the pendulum swings at any time between the free and the strictly arranged. They play their own compositions, standard songs and some highly alternative versions of well-known pop songs. Gunnhild Rødstøl Ekrol (violin), Øystein Skjelstad Østensen (double bass), Reidun Ottersen (vocals), Sigurd Drogset Hemmingsen (drums).

Gunnar Nilsen Band is an international band where several of the musicians are from Germany. Bass player Gunnar Nilsen has been central to the jazz scene in Kongsberg for a number of years. His band presents a swinging and appealing music. The audience will recognize melodies by Horace Silver, Clark Terry via the Brazilian trumpeter Claudio Roditi to the Beatles. The band consists of Gunnar Nilsen (bass), Oreste Kindilide (saxophone), Richard Köster (trumpet), Tom Hasslan (guitar), Bent Østebø Johansen (piano), Thomas Bjørndal (drums) and Nathan Kindilide (horn).

Håvard, Peder, Axel & Tom is a band that almost exclusively consists of people from the jazz town of Kongsberg. However, Sisteman is from the jazz village of Inderøy. With both feet in jazz rock, the band presents homegrown music with kick, optimism and joy! The music is explosive, raw and real. The audience becomes ecstatic, happy and satisfied! The band consists of Håvard Aufles (keyboards), Peder Overvik Stuberg (guitar), Axel Skalstad (drums) & Tom Hasslan (guitar).
