The big band Jazzå has members from all over Oslo. It is a band that in 2000 established its roots in the music community in Storsalen congregation and the University College in Staffeldts gate.
Last year they played with trumpeter Kåre Nymark, from Brazz Brothers.
The band will return to the jazz festival again this year, straight from a tour in Italy, where they have done three concerts in Tuscany in collaboration with Florence's jazz community.
To Kongsberg this time they have brought Staffan William-Olsson (guitar/composer), Niklas Arnesen (vocals) and drummer Hermund Nygård (conductor).
