The steaming fresh Buddy award winner Jan Gunnar Hoff comes to Kongsbergjazz 2014 with his critically acclaimed concept "Fly North", which already shortly after its release in January was declared one of the best records of the year. "Fly North" now tops iTunes Jazz and Bare Jazz's lists of sold albums and has become a great success. This is the very first time pianist Jan Gunnar Hoff is a guest at Kongsbergjazz and he comes together with trumpeter and DNB award winner Arve Henriksen, drummer and percussionist Audun Kleive, and bassist Anders Jormin.

In recent years, Hoff has collaborated with artists such as Alex Acuna, Mike Stern, Maria Joao. He also wrote the tingingsverket for Vossajazz in 2005.
