A very strong musical package can be seen on Thursday at Kirketorget

MS. LAURYN HILL
The beloved Ms. Lauryn Hill comes to the Kongsberg Jazz Festival to prove that she is a living legend.
Mrs. Lauryn Hill broke through as part of the group The Fugees, and took the world by storm as a solo artist two decades ago with 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill'. Last year we were able to experience Ms. Lauryn Hill in a packed Oslo Spektrum when she celebrated the 20th anniversary of the release.
On the occasion of the anniversary, she wanted to use her platform to raise money and create awareness around several charity initiatives. Part of the ticket sales went to the MLH Fund, which contributes support to education, health, agriculture, technology and local businesses, as well as development initiatives worldwide.
It has been quiet for longer periods around Ms. Hill, but her enormous influence on both r&b and hip-hop is still evident in the biggest contemporary stars like Drake and Cardi B. And as she says herself: Class is back in session!
There is only one thing to say: enjoy! Immortal classics such as Doo Wop (That thing), Ex-Factor, Superstar and Everything is Everything will be heard during this year's Kongsberg Jazz Festival.

Age limit/TechnipFMC Teengig area
A separate drug-free area with a recommended age limit of 13 will be set up at Kirketorget - in collaboration with our general sponsor TechnipFMC. In the area there will be separate toilets and the sale of non-alcoholic drinks. We allow parents to bring younger children, but emphasize that this is an adult concert with alcohol served and lots of noise. Parents who want to be with their children in a drug-free area must also buy a ticket for this area. In the rest of the concert area, the age limit is 18.
