Isaiah Collier and the Chosen Few

From pulsating Chicago to the Kongsberg Jazz Festival - saxophonist Isaiah Collier and the band The Chosen Few fire up Energimølla on July 8!

Concert start: 23.59 Single ticket price: NOK 370

The multi-instrumentalist, composer, activist and teacher Isaiah Collier performs with a band at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival.

Flourishing in Chicago's vibrant jazz scene, Isaiah Collier has become known primarily as a strong saxophonist, both with his own projects and as a member of Angel Bat Dawid's Brotherhood. He has played in projects with Chance The Rapper, Waddada Leo Smith III, Junius Paul and many more. In 2021 came his third release with the band The Chosen Few – Cosmic Transitions. The album received five stars from Downbeat Magazine as well as many other very positive reviews, and was recorded in the legendary Rudy Van Gelder's studio on Coltrane's own birthday.

On the album you can clearly hear Collier's great musical range and dynamic expression, which we can also look forward to hearing live during this summer's festival.
