Opening concert: Inazuma
Star groups from the Norwegian jazz scene pay tribute to Maria Kannegaard as a musician, composer and person.

Inazuma means lightning strike, and for those who heard this band's very first concert at Vossa Jazz in April, that's exactly how it felt – in a good way.
Inazuma consists of nothing less than a star team from the Norwegian jazz scene! In addition to Maria Kannegaards regular collaborators, bassist Ole Morten Vagan and drummer Thomas Strønen, we also get to see Norwegian jazz's big international star Nils Petter Molværand Stable Storløkken og Anja Lauvdal who both perform sorcery on their respective keyboard instruments.
Audience members and reviewers who were present at Voss can report an extremely moving concert experience in which Maria Kannegaard was strongly present through the musicians' interaction and selection of compositions. The concert can almost be considered a tribute to Maria Kannegaard as a musician, composer and person.
Here, everyone in the audience was completely blown away by the total presence and clear focus on the song.. (...) The five people's very distinctive individual sounds merged into something that seemed animated by Kannegaard's artistry. Together, each for himself.
- Audun Vinger about Inazuma's opening concert at Vossa Jazz
