Ikue Mori – solo

A unique opportunity to experience electronic music in pure perfection

Door opens: 13:00 Single ticket price: NOK 250

The term living legend is used rather loosely in musical contexts, but in relation to Ikue Mori it is quite natural to bring it up.

Ever since the late seventies, Japanese Ikue Mori has been a very significant figure in the alternative music scene in New York. Here you have a unique opportunity to experience electronic music in pure perfection.

"Ikue Mori is one of the most respected musicians in the downtown scene, renowned for her abilities as an accomplished composer and improviser and as one of the foremost electronic music innovators" (allmusic)

Composer/improviser Mori was part of the No Wave band DNA in New York in the late 1970s. DNA is one of the most influential bands from that period, and also included Arto Lindsay and Tim Wright (Pere Ubu, Essential Logic). More recently, she has continued to play music as a solo artist and electronic pioneer in numerous constellations.
