Skyship
Open American landscapes meet Norwegian mountain passes

What is Himmelskip really? Instrumental country for jazz people? “Cow-jazz” with pedal steel? The soundtrack to an imaginary western film? Himmelskip is a bit of all of these – and at the same time something completely unique.
On their debut album, THE LAST CATTLE DRIVER (2025), the quartet combines Americana, jazz, Nordic folk music and improvisation into a cinematic and distinctive expression. Here, open American landscapes and Norwegian mountain passes meet in the same musical universe.
The band met at the Norwegian Academy of Music, and although they are still young, the members have already made their mark in a number of different projects on the Norwegian music scene. Live, Himmelskip is a dynamic and improvising band that elevates the songs further into new musical landscapes.
This will be a concert for jazz fans, Americana lovers and anyone who enjoys music with strong moods and open horizons.
