Hilde Louise Asbjornsen
Hilde Louise Asbjørnsen is definitely one of the country's most popular artists, and for more than ten years she has made a strong impression as a cabaret - and musical artist, songwriter, lyricist and jazz vocalist. All her records have received rave reviews. She is able to combine cabaret singing and jazz into an extremely appealing and attractive alloy. Most of her records have had English lyrics, and she has written many of them herself; but in 2006 she released 'No vil eg vake med deg', a tribute to the great Monica Zetterlund. Here she sang Edvard Hoem's masterful retellings of the original Swedish texts. Then in 2012 came the record 'Månesjuk' where she has taken the linguistic consequences of her background. Here are all the texts in her own dialect from Sykkylven in Sunnmøre.
In June this year, Hilde Louise will release her tenth album. With a smile on her face, Louis Prima and Duke Ellington in her ear, and some of the country's most groovy jazz musicians in mind, Hilde Louise has written new songs about shoes, black coffee, late nights and uninvited breakfast guests. As co-producer, she has none other than guitarist and star producer Georg "Jojje" Wadenius.
With Hilde Louise on stage, we expect swinging, cool and gentle jazz, interspersed with a good portion of humor and mood, served with empathy, elegance and a mischievous slant.
