Last year's Spellemannwinner is ready to take on the Kongsberg Jazz Festival with a concert and jam session when he hosts Argus during this year's festival!
Composer and double bass player Bjørn Marius Hegge is one of the new rising stars in jazz. He comes to Kongsberg with the band 'Hegge', which offers catchy tunes and humorous phrases, mixed with strong compositions and playful improvisation. Although the music is heavily influenced by jazz legends such as Cannonball Adderley, Ornette Coleman and Charles Mingus, the band collectively twists the music in a different direction where each member is allowed to express himself freely.
The concert is followed by a festival jam. Bring your instrument and stop by.
