We invite the city's oldest residents to Gulljazz - a jazz festival at Skavangertun nursing home!

In collaboration with Toyoyta Funnemark, we set up a large tent, barbecue food, good drinks and three concerts, and offer a real festival atmosphere for the oldest people in town! The event lasts from 12.00 to 16.00 p.m.

On the programme:

Swing'it Dixie Band Norway's hippest and freshest gla'jazz band, returns to Gulljazz in Kongsberg for the fourth time. In recent years, the band has created a shameful atmosphere at everything from jazz clubs, parades and nightclubs to festivals and as street musicians. They do a great job of entertaining young and old alike with charm, playfulness and enthusiasm - served with straw hats, crossbows and a bucket full of energy!
Birgit's Husband is Gulljazz manager Birgit Skogen's own band. They have played in the vast majority of nursing homes in Oslo and constantly experience crutches being thrown, wheelchairs being abandoned and the dance floor being filled. The band comes to Gulljazz in Kongsberg with a repertoire that ranges from New Orleans and standard jazz and old swing beats.
Denver Jazz Club is an atmospheric jazz band that has traveled all the way from Denver to be with us. The band consists of seven promising young musicians who together have visited a very good handful of jazz festivals and jazz clubs across large parts of Europe and the USA.
