Göran Fristorp started his artistic career more than 50 years ago. Since the 1970s, he has been considered one of Scandinavia's leading singer-songwriters, and has made a name for himself both within the music tradition and as a jazz musician. He is known for his eminent guitar playing, great voice and enormous versatility, and the ability to capture the audience from the first note.
With 26 album releases, Göran Fristorp has an extensive discography. It contains titles such as Egna songs (1974), Music from Norway (1984), Pie Jesu (2003) og Göran Fristorp sings and plays Taube (1990), as well as the 2013 release together with KORK, Classic Fristorp. He has played several thousand concerts and collaborated with profiles such as Herborg Kråkevik, Helen Sjöholm, Arild Andersen, Putte Wickman, Arne Domnérus, Marian Aas Hansen and Karoline Krüger, and has become a well-established name in music both in Norway and Sweden.
Göran Fristorp has toured Norway with Sven-Bertil Taube and together they are two of the leading custodians of the Swedish heritage. Now we get to experience Göran's presence in the Poetry Oasis.
